What have you been up to lately?

Right now I’m working on a new Nickelodeon show called “How To Rock,” which airs new episodes every Saturday at 8:30pm. I also just finished a new hip hop musical movie for Nickelodeon entitled “RAGS” which comes out Summer 2012. I’ve also been working on my next album and writing a lot of songs for other artists and TV shows including getting placements on my own show “How To Rock” and Disney’s “Shake It Up”.

What's your favorite thing about being an actor/performer?

Definitely bringing joy and entertainment to others lives. It’s the best feeling in the world to know that people enjoy what I love to do most.

How has your ActorIntro video been helpful for the business side of your career?

ActorIntro is really a headshot for your personality. A picture may show what you look like, but an ActorIntro video shows who you are and that’s what’s most important in the casting process: showing who you are and how well you can play a certain role.

What has been your favorite role to date, and what made it a great experience?

My favorite role I’ve played thus far is definitely Micky in the musical “Blood Brothers”. It was just such a fulfilling role with just so much depth. It really required me to be more open with myself than I’ve ever been on stage.

Do you have a dream role?

I have so many dream roles! But I’d say playing a superhero in a movie would probably be at the top of my list. Also playing Tony in West Side Story on Broadway or in a movie remake would be amazing!

What keeps you going when you feel discouraged?

The love, that’s what always keeps me going. There’s a whole lot of rejection in this business and that’s just something that will forever be a part of the job but the love for what you do has to always be most important.

What's your advice to actors when it comes to making a positive impression with industry?

There’s too much rejection to always feel discouraged when you don’t book a job. I always say that my jobs are my jobs and everyone else’s jobs are their jobs. If you booked everything you went out for, no one else would have a chance. That job you didn’t book could be someone else’s big break and the next one might be yours.
