After over 20 years as a television host and news anchor, Brad Holbrook introduces one-on-one coaching designed to give you the tools you need to book paid on-camera hosting work. Brad is an Emmy Award-winning TV anchor and can be seen on IFC’s Onion News Network.
Coaching sessions introduce the various venues for hosts and what is specifically required for each (live event, podcast, TV, web) and how solo hosting compares to co-hosting or team hosting. You’ll be led through a self-evaluation for focusing on the type of host job that would be suitable for you, including scripts from real life examples of hosting work being done today.
We'll go over how to present yourself as a candidate for a hosting job (tweaking the resume to highlight the most pertinent material, which headshot to use, how to select any video samples that you have, and how to prepare and perform the audition). A look at where industry opportunities are and where they will be in the future. How to look for jobs in the field, with a list of resources provided.
Private hosting coaching is available in packages for complete training, or as a one-time session to prepare you for an audition.
